One interesting story about Arran Distillery is its connection to Robert Burns, Scotland's national poet. In 1787, Burns visited the Isle of Arran and was impressed by the quality of the island's whisky.

He wrote a poem about his experiences on the island, referencing "Arran's waters bright." Years later, when the Arran Distillery was founded, its founders paid homage to Burns and his connection to the island by incorporating his words into the distillery's branding.  Today, Arran Distillery's logo features Burns' signature and the words "Arran's waters bright," a nod to the poet's influence on the island's whisky-making heritage.  This connection to Burns and the island's history has helped establish Arran Distillery as a symbol of Scotland's rich cultural heritage and a source of pride for the local community.  The distillery is a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors from around the world interested in Scotland's whisky-making tradition and the connection to Burns and his poetry.
